Solo diving

27/07/08 was my solo diving course day with Mark ellyatt the 313 Met solo dive world record holder, Diving out of wells-next-the-water in Northfork, the weather was sunny and warm, set of in Marks rib for a wreck dive 8 miles out, weather was OK,but a bit of fog was around, went through the plan of the dive and all the procedures then in we went, viz was OK but one strong current, we made our into the shelter of the wreck and had a good look around at the same time remembering were i had come from so i could make my way back to the line as pland, it was a really good dive and first UK dive this year with out my hood.second dive was a drift dive, very interesting dive but not a lot of life around, better for wrecks i think. over the day i was put through my skills and techniques and talked about my kit that i found very useful.have got to say it was a very interesting and hard days diving, but it was a pleasure to be instructed by mark and dive with him and hope to catch up for some more dives soon.
